P-R blanks Zelie, 5-0
Brandon Smail struck out 10, walked three and allowed just three hits in a complete game as host Pine-Richland defeated Zelienople 5-0 in the first game of a best-of-3 Eagle County League baseball playoff series on Monday.
Zach Sharrer doubled and had two RBI in the win and teammate Zach Staszak doubled in another run.
Game 2 will be played at 6 p.m. today at Zelienople Community Park.
