Ralph H. Cable

Ralph H. Cable, 96, of Zelienople passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Oct. 19, 1919, in Harmony, he was the son of the late Harvey B. and Lilly (Eichenauer) Cable.

Ralph was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Battle of the Bulge and received a Purple Heart for his service. He was a hard worker who would do anything for anybody. Ralph belonged to the Grace Church of Harmony and the VFW and the American Legion. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and doing yard work. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

He is survived by one daughter, Mary Cable of Harmony; his grandson, Scott (Amber) Cable of Zelienople; two great-granddaughters, Makenna and Elena; his brother, Richard (Helen) of West Salem, Ohio; his sister, Ruth (Robert) Peffer of Canon City, Colo.; a numerous nieces and nephews; his beloved family friend, Nellie Miller; and his dog, Bowie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma; his son, Ronald; and two brothers, Robert and Walter.

CABLE — The family of Ralph H. Cable, who died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.A funeral ceremony will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Peter Everett, pastor, officiating.Ralph will be laid to rest at the Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
