Michael F. “Tico” Price
Michael F. “Tico” Price, 57, of Petrolia died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at his home.
Mike was born Sept. 29, 1958, in Butler. He was the son of Glenn and Margaret Hackett Price.
Mike was a 1976 graduate of Karns City High School and a U.S. Army veteran. Tico enjoyed camping and listening to music.
He had served on the Petrolia Borough Council and had been employed by Dick McCall in Petrolia for more than 20 years.
Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Denise L. Sheakley Price; his son, Joshua E. Price and his wife, Amy, of Bruin; his daughter, Melanie A. Reed and her husband, Travis, of Petrolia; four grandchildren, Landon Reed, Lathan Price, Lyrik Reed and Aubrey Price; nine siblings, Carole Scott and her husband, Ron, of Butler, Pauline Kelly and her husband, Albert, of Butler, Sandy Thiabodeau of Enfield, Conn., Patty Huff and her husband, Ron, Barb Hile and her husband, Barry, Mary Harnish and her husband, Ron, Colleen Scherer, Ed Price and Chris Price and his wife, Mary, all of Chicora; and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Doug and Deb Sheakley, Greg and Mary Sheakley and Ann Warren and Doug Bellis. Also surviving are a number of nieces, nephews and cousins along with his best friend, his dog, Max.
In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Audrey Sheakley; one niece; three nephews; and one great-nephew.
PRICE — Friends of Michael F. “Tico” Price, who died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora-Fenelton Road, Chicora.A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev.
