Jeanne E. Brooks
Jeanne E. Brooks, 89, of Gibsonia, formerly of Mars and Lady Lake, Fla., passed away Sunday morning at her home in the Village of St. Barnabas.
She was born Jan. 1, 1927, in Ellwood City, Pa.
Jeanne had been a licensed practical nurse at St. John Specialty Care Center in Mars for 17 years and was a member of the Old Union Presbyterian Church and the New Life Presbyterian Church in Leesburg, Fla. Most recently she attended the Faith Community Christian Church at St. Barnabas.
Jeanne was a member of the Mars VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
Surviving are four daughters, Linda James (Tommy) of Cedar Grove, N.J.; Marcia Brooks Norton (Greg) of Mars; Candice Wallingford of Honesdale, Pa.; and Dawn Wilbern (John) of Evans City. She also is survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her loving cat, “Puffy.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. “Bud” Brooks, who she married Dec. 30, 1947, and who died June 2, 2004; her son, Robert E. Brooks; her daughter, Jodi Brooks; her grandson, Teddy Wallingford; and her brother, Frank Kearns.
BROOKS — Friends of Jeanne E. Brooks, who died Sunday, June 19, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
