Elizabeth Enterline Adams
Elizabeth Enterline Adams of Butler, formerly of Doylestown, died Monday.
She was 89 and the wife of the late George Richard Adams, who passed away in 2007.
Born in Ashland, Pa., she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Nellie Weaver Enterline.
Elizabeth graduated from Hood College in 1949 with a bachelor of science degree. She was the former president of the Doylestown American Association of University Women (AAUW) and a former Center for Learning in Retirement instructor at Delaware Valley University. She had previously worked as a paraprofessional for the Intermediate Unit, a substitute teacher and as a clerk for the District Court in Doylestown.
Elizabeth was a very active member of the Salem United Church of Christ in Doylestown.
Surviving are her children, Howard Adams and his wife, Wendy, of Boothwyn, Pa., Craig Adams and his wife, Deborah, of Butler, Dr. Eric Adams and his wife, Dr. Kristin Adams, of Williamsport, Pa.; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
ADAMS — Relatives and friends of Elizabeth Enterline Adams, who died Monday, June 13, 2016, will be received from 9 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. funeral service Friday at the Salem United Church of Christ, 186 East Court St., Doylestown, Pa., 18901.Interment will be at 3 p.m. in St. John Kimmel's Cemetery in Ashland, Pa.Arrangements are handled by the Reed and Steinbach Funeral Home in Doylestown, Pa.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Elizabeth's name may be made to the Salem United Church of Christ.
