Ruth Naomi Spinneweber

Ruth Naomi Spinneweber, 86, of Butler died Monday afternoon at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born Aug. 12, 1929, in Ridgeway, Pa., she was a daughter of the late H. Frank Snyder and Olive (Rugh) Snyder.

She was a 1947 graduate of Butler High School, was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, and was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Ruth had enjoyed work as a volunteer for the VNA Hospice.

Surviving are her husband, Paul E. Spinneweber, who she married April 11, 1953; three daughters, Diane (Bill) Black of Hershey, Pa., Linda Clark of Butler and Paula (David) Green of Bluffton, S.C.; two sons, Eric Spinneweber of Butler and Shawn (Correna) Spinneweber of Butler; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsey Collins; and her two brothers, Rue Snyder and Bernard Snyder.

SPINNEWEBER — Friends of Ruth Naomi Spinneweber, who died Monday, June 13, 2016, will be received from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Parish Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, her family requests that donations be made to the VNA Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
