GROVE CITY — The Grove City Community Friends of the Library will host a new preview event before the organization’s annual used book sale.

The preview will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 31. Event ticket holders will have early access to buy materials at the book sale, which runs from Aug. 1 through Aug. 13 during business hours at the library, 125 W. Main St.

Tickets for the preview event are on sale for $10 and can be bought at the library. Children younger than 12 are admitted free.

All proceeds benefit the library.

MIDDLESEX TWP — The Lighthouse, 1302 E. Cruikshank Road, will have a community trunk and vendor sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 30.

There will be vendors, an auction, food and beverages.

JEFFERSON TWP — The Rick Farinelli Big Band will perform at the 135th anniversary of the Concordia Lutheran Ministries Summer Festival from noon to 2 p.m. July 31 in the Lund Care Center backyard, 134 Marwood Road.

There also will be a singalong, a steel drummer, crafts and games for children, a fishing derby and food.
