Betty J. George

Betty J. George, 50, of Franklin passed away unexpectedly at 10 a.m. Monday at a friend's home in Rouseville, Pa.

Born June 11, 1965, in Butler, she was a daughter of Barbara Schulter Cress and the late Clifford R. George Sr.

Betty was a homemaker who loved to travel and spend time with her grandkids.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by four children, David George, Ashley George and Casey George, all of Butler, and Stephanie Setting of Franklin; nine grandchildren, Matthew, Avie-anna, Wyatt, Kynaii, Caleb, Caileigh, Baylee, Mya and Mariah; two brothers, Clifford Meidlein and his wife, Betty, of North Canton, Ohio, and Clifford R. George Jr. of Butler; two sisters, Charilyn Rich and her husband, David, of Portland, Ore., and Jessica Erdos of Butler; and her beloved service dog, Jake.

She was preceded in death by her father and her daughter, Della Purbaugh.

GEORGE — There will be no visitation for Betty J. George, who died Monday, June 6, 2016.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1449 Thompson Road, Franklin, with Bishop Robert Himes officiating.
