Ernest J. Laderer, 94, of Portersville died Friday at Grove Manor in Grove City.

He was born in Portersville on Sept. 12, 1921, and was the son of Joy and Anna Barkley Laderer.

He retired after 43 years from Ellwood City Forge.

He was a veteran of World War II. having served in the U.S. Army.

He was a graduate of the former Muddy Creek High School. He was a Protestant.

Survivors include his son, Ronald Laderer of Surfside Beach, Texas; one brother, Harold (Doris) Laderer of Portersville, and one granddaughter, Kasey (Mark) Dunn of Atascocita, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Laderer, who he married May 7, 1942. She died Aug. 28, 2004.

LADERER — Visitation for Ernest J. Laderer, who died Friday, May 20, 2016, will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Dana Opp of the Presbyterian Church of Portersville officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
