William “Bill” G. Scott
William “Bill” G. Scott, 59, of Butler passed away Wednesday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Dec. 1, 1956, in Butler, the son of the late James W. Scott and Vergie (Davis) Scott Sedoris.
Bill was a member of and enjoyed socializing at the Italian Society, the Sons of the American Legion 117, the French & Belgium Club, the Marienville Vets Club, the Butler Elks 170, where he served as esquire in the past years, and he was a social member of the East Butler Fire Club.
He had run for Summit Township supervisor and was owner of McJ's Corner in East Brady. He had been employed by Spang Magnetics for 32 years.
Bill loved his dogs, boating, karaoke, going to the family camp in Marienville and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Christine M. (Hankey) Scott of Butler; two daughters, Jennifer (Curtis) Jones of Slippery Rock and Michelle (Adam) Walker of Butler; four grandchildren, Landon Jones, Kenna Jones, Noah Walker and Trenton Jones; his brother, James A. (Phyllis “Corky”) Scott of East Brady; his mother-in-law, Peggy Hankey of Butler; four nieces; three nephews; and numerous great-niece, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; several cousins; and close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Garry “Butch” Scott; and his stepfather, Wally Sedoris.
SCOTT — Friends of William “Bill” G. Scott, who died Wednesday, May 11, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Young Funeral Home, 127 W.
