'Butler's Disneyland'
“The History of Alameda Park — Butler’s Disneyland” will be presented by Bill May at 6:30 p.m. June 16 at the Carousel Shelter at Alameda. May will discuss the 1901-1941 park’s former roller coaster, Ferris wheel and boating lake as well as celebrities who performed in the outdoor theater, such as Louis Armstrong. The 60-minute presentation will feature photographs, video clips and storytelling. Admission is free. The event is sponsored by Butler County Parks and Recreation.
