Deborah L. Schmidt
Deborah L. Schmidt, 62, of Mars died Tuesday at LAS St. John Lutheran Care Center in Mars.
Born Aug. 5, 1953, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Bernard Joseph Demko Sr. and the late Laverne Ann Gyton Demko.
She was a member of the Mars VFW Post 7505. She loved her grandchildren, going to casinos and chocolate cake.
Deborah was a retired nurse's aid at Sun Rise Assisted Living, now Concordia of Cranberry.
In addition to her father of North Hills, she is survived by her significant other, David Barr; her former husband, Michael P. Schmidt; one daughter, Carrie Ohorodnyk and her husband, John, of Pulaski, Pa.; one son, Michael J. Schmidt and his wife, Tara, of Freedom; his brother, David Demko of Mars; his sister, Victoria Benson of Warren, Pa.; and two grandchildren, Jaxson James Schmidt and Reese Anastasia Ohorodnyk.
