Dean R. Thomas
Dean R. Thomas, 67, of Butler died Thursday evening at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born Nov. 10, 1948, in Butler, he was a son of the late Raymond P. Thomas and Alberta (Stevenson) Thomas.
Dean owned and operated Rays Auto Sales on Saxonburg Road from 1985 until 2015, when he retired.
He was a past master of the Victory Lodge 694, was a social member of the VFW Post 7376 in Saxonburg, was a member of the Syria Shrine Temple and the New Castle Consistory. Dean was a private pilot, was an avid Harley-Davidson rider, loved his home in Florida and also loved life and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Paula Jean (Tritsch) Thomas, who he married Nov. 27, 1971; two daughters, Feather (David) Bacher of Cranberry Township and Fawne Thomas of Leesburg, Va.; two grandsons, Jake Bacher and Jonah Bacher, and one sister, Patty Lou Thomas of Indianapolis, Ind.
THOMAS — Friends of Dean R. Thomas, who died Thursday, April 28, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Nulph, pastor, officiating.
