Jeff Kowal
Jeff Kowal, 44, of Wexford died peacefully Wednesday morning at home with his beloved wife, Cait, by his side.
The son of Amy Gross Atkinson and the late Joseph Kowal, Jeff excelled in creative arts and very much enjoyed music production as well as graphic and digital arts.
Passionate about his calling, Jeff worked for himself and served as a creative director for several private clients needing aid in the marketing of their products.
Jeff enjoyed all variety of foods and cooking as a leisure activity. A lover of banana popsicles, he also enjoy gardening, travel and movies as pastimes. A brilliant man, but modest, gentle and unassuming, Jeff extended this warmth to several animals and his cats in particular. Jeff was a member of the Bradford Woods Community Church, where he had served as the chairman of the board of trustees.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Caitalyn; his mother and stepfather, Amy and Doug Atkinson of Bradford Woods; his stepmother, Mary Kowal of Colorado; his sister-in-law, Tamara Neilson of North Carolina; two step-siblings, Jason Bittner and Leslie Bittner-Wilson; two maternal uncles and aunts, Fred (Elaine) Gross and Jeff (Katherine Prady) Gross; and his paternal aunt and uncle, Gerry and Frank Chamberlain of Rochester, N.Y.
Jeff is also survived by a number of treasured cousins, Jennifer Vicheck, Michael, Mitchell, Travis and Tyler Gross.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kowal; his maternal uncle, Scott Gross; and his maternal grandparents, Doris and Milton Gross.
KOWAL — A service of memorial and celebration of life for Jeff Kowal, who died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Bradford Woods Community Church, 4836 Wexford Run Road, Bradford Woods, with a dinner fellowship reception to follow at 5 p.m. in the church fellowship hall.The Boylan-Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home, Cranberry Township, assisted with the arrangements.The family suggests that memorial donations may be made in Jeff's honor to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (NPCF), P.O. Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502, or the Bradford Woods Community Church.
