Highway damaged by blast to reopen

GREENSBURG — The company that owns a natural gas pipeline that exploded into a massive fireball last month says a road damaged in the blast should reopen by Friday.

Department of Transportation officials said Spectra Energy has said repairs to Route 819 should be complete by then. The April 29 explosion scorched 40 acres, seriously burning a man whose home was destroyed and damaging other structures.
