PLUM — A suburban Pittsburgh school board has given their superintendent two days to consider taking paid leave while they investigate how he handled reports of inappropriate sexual relationships between teachers and students.

Plum Borough School District Superintendent Timothy Glasspool says he plans to “continue to devote” his time to the district after the board asked him to consider taking leave at Tuesday night’s board meeting.

The move follows a Thursday grand jury report that found the district had systematically failed to protect its students.

Two male teachers have been sentenced to prison for sexual relationships with female students, while a third teacher awaits trial on similar charges. A fourth teacher is awaiting trial on charges he tried to intimidate one of the student accusers.
