Richard “Rich” Edmund Curl

Richard “Rich” Edmund Curl, 67, of Slippery Rock passed away due to pneumonia on the afternoon of April 9 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born July 11, 1948, in Coraopolis to Richard and Leona Curl, Richard was a veteran and the oldest of two.

From rebuilding motors to flawless paint jobs, he spent much of his life in garages repairing and restoring vehicles to their original glory. Rich was a jack-of-all-trades, a handy man, and could ponder a solution to any problem, seeking out new projects. He could fix just about anything.

His sense of humor and trademark laugh are unforgettable, and he made friends everywhere. He had a soft spot for pets from dogs and cats to goats and turtles.

He was a devoted husband, loving father, and adored grandfather. We will miss him always as he was far to young to go.

Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Vicki, and his parents, Richard and Leona.

Richard is survived by his brother, George Curl; his children, Marjorie Leek, Marissa Curl, and Malinda Curl; his grandchildren, Bryan Bonilla-Curl, Elliott Leek, Abygael Thomas, and Ellianna Thomas.

CURL — There will be no services for Richard “Rich” Edmund Curl, who died Saturday, April 9, 2016.In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the VA Butler Healthcare in Richard's name.
