Aspiring actors, musicians can show their stuff
Auditions for Hobnob Theatre Company’s summer presentation of William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” will be at 7 p.m. Sunday and Monday at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 E. Jefferson St.
Roles are available for six to eight women and nine to 11 men.
Performances are planned July 22 to 24 and 29 to 31 in Preston Park, Butler Township.

This year’s Summer Dramatics Project staging of “The Wizard of Oz” will have auditions Sunday and May 26 at St. Peter’s Hall on Franklin Street for children ages 7 to 12 at 5:30 p.m., and for those ages 13 to 25 at 6:30 p.m.
Be prepared to sing and dance. No previous experience is needed.
The show is 7:30 p.m. July 28, 29 and 30 and at 2 p.m. July 31 at the Succop Theater at Butler County Community College.

Keystone State Music Theater will conduct auditions for musicians age 13 through college age to play in an evening of Broadway showstoppers.
The band will be directed by Jack Anderson, director of bands emeritus at the University of Pittsburgh, and Mel Orange, associate band director at Pitt.
Auditions will be the evening of June 8 at the KSMT Academy, 850 Cranberry Woods Drive. Be prepared to play 25 to 45 seconds of your own selection.
The All Star Student Big Broadway Orchestra performance will be 7 p.m. July 30 at the Rotary Amphitheater in Cranberry Community Park. Rain date is July 31.
Tickets are $5, and participants are required to sell 20 tickets.
