Emily Marie Porneluzi
Emily Marie Porneluzi, 90, formerly of Prospect, died Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.
Emily was born in Fouron Saint-Martin, Belgium, on Feb. 22, 1926, and was the daughter of Henri and Maria Brenenraad Collings.
Emily had worked at the former Bryan Brothers Store in Prospect for many years.
She was a member of the Prospect Community Women's Club and the former 20th Century Club in Prospect. She is a member of the St. Christopher at the Lake Catholic Church in Prospect, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. Emily was also a member of various card clubs and bowling leagues.
Survivors include her daughter Amy (Daniel) O'Leary of Butler; her daughter-in-law, Beverlee Dugan; five grandchildren, Paul (Dana) Porneluzi, Kevin (Jessica) Porneluzi, Jessica (Creighton) Hogan, Shawn (Amanda) O'Leary and Aaron O'Leary and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ugo Porneluzi, who she married July 9, 1945, in Belgium during World War II. He died May 30, 1987.
She also was preceded in death by her son, Raymond Porneluzi; three brothers; and her sister.
PORNELUZI — Visitation for Emily Marie Porneluzi, who died Saturday, April 16, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 433 Main St., Prospect.A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Christopher at the Lake Catholic Church in Prospect with Rev. Joseph Feltz officiating.Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park & Mausoleum in Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Christopher at the Lake Catholic Church in Prospect or to the Prospect Community Library Endowment Fund.
