Tyler Markilinski’s base hit in the top of the seventh inning plated Brandon Hildebrand and Dallas Hays in East Butler’s 6-4 win over Meridian in Butler County legion baseball play at Highfield Park on Tuesday.

Hays was the winning pitcher, striking out nine and allowing just four hits in a complete game.

Hildebrand and Hays both tallied three hits in the victory.

Justin Rickert hit a three-run home run for Meridian in the bottom of the third inning.

East Butler (2-0) will host Butler City at 8 p.m. Thursday.
