Alan J. Behanna

Alan J. Behanna, 59, of Sarver passed away Wednesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born June 28, 1956, in New Kensington, he was the son of Samuel Behanna and Lois Behanna.

Alan graduated from Valley High School, he then joined the U.S. Army serving in the military police. Upon being discharged from the Army, he became a police officer, serving in West Deer Township and Freeport and beginning in 1981 with Buffalo Township, becoming lieutenant, officer-in-charge. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

Surviving are his wife, Faye (Bauer) Behanna; his special friend, his cat Foxy; his father, Samuel, and mother, Lois Jean Behanna, of New Kensington; two daughters, Amanda Jane Behanna of Natrona Heights and Kayla Lynn Behanna of Freeport; three brothers, Samuel (Sandy) Behanna of New Kensington, Kevin (Sharra) Behanna of Florida and Marshall (Kimberly) McKallip of New Kensington; and his sister, Marsha (Bill) Dimmit of Rural Valley.

BEHANNA — Friends of Alan J. Behanna, who died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg, with the Rev.
