MANSFIELD — Three Slippery Rock University runners placed in the 10,000-meter run as the PSAC Track and Field Championships got under way Thursday at Slippery Rock University.

Jenny Picot placed third in the women's event to earn All-PSAC honors. She crossed the finsh line in 38 minutes, 08.09 seconds.

Shanon Byerly placed fifth in the 10,000 for The Rock.

On the men's side, SRU's Jeremy Parsons placed eighth with a time of 32:07.99.

The 10,000 meters was the only final contested Thursday. The three-day meet ends Saturday.
