Sara L. Cotellese, 72, of Petrolia passed away Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

She was born June 19, 1943, in Butler to the late Herman J. Loeb and Mary (Thompson) Loeb.

Sara received her doctorate in sociology from the University of Missouri.

Before her retirement, she worked as a quality assurance manager at the Computer Science Corp.

Sara was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. She enjoyed reading and genealogy.

She is survived by her husband, John Cotellese; one sister, Jordis Boltz of Petrolia; two brothers, Peter Loeb of Butler and John Loeb and his wife, Lynn, of San Diego, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
