John F. “Jr. Jack” Ritzert

John F. “Jr. Jack” Ritzert, 59, of Butler passed away April 2 at UPMC Montefiore in Pittsburgh.

He was born July 20, 1956, in Butler, the son of the late Charles G. Ritzert Sr. and Betty (Dupe) Ritzert.

Jr. Jack had worked at McDonald's as a crew member. He also participated in the Special Olympics and volunteered every week at the Salvation Army.

Surviving are two sisters, Elizabeth Medina of Butler and Brenda Ritzert of Butler; his brother, David (Debbie) Ritzert of Fort Worth, Texas; his nephews, Bryan (Pam) Ritzert and Joshua Medina; his best friends, Bruce and Rich; and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He also was preceded in death by his girlfriend of 32 years, Cathy Pryor, and his brother, Charles Ritzert.

RITZERT — Services for John F. “Jr. Jack” Ritzert, who died Saturday, April 2, 2016, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at the Salvation Army, 313 W. Cunningham St., Butler. Interment will be private.The YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, Butler, assisted with the arrangements.
