Edward R. Nightingale

Edward R. Nightingale, 81, formerly of Mars, passed away peacefully Wednesday in the company of friends and family in Cape Coral, Fla.

A Mars native, Ed later moved to Cape Coral, Fla.

Ed was known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, principled beliefs, strong business skills and entrepreneurial spirit.

His greatest passion was RVing across the U.S. with his beloved wife, Barbara.

Ed is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughter, Barbara (Lester); his daughter, Bonnie; his son, Edward; and his daughter, Sherri (Brian).

He also is remembered by his grandchildren, Dena (Brian), Adelino and Santino (Ellie); and his great-grandson, Brice.

Ed was the son of the late Edward and Sophie (Karcher) Nightingale. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betsy Boyle.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Fitzpatrick (Terry).

He is further remembered fondly by extended family, many friends and business associates who he met and served over the years.
