COUNTYMaridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., continues its film series about India with “The Lunchbox” presented by Dr. Sunita Peacock at 6 p.m. today. Admission is free but reservations are required. Call 724-282-0123. The Maridon has in its collection Asian art and pieces of German Meissen porcelain. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays, except holidays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8 accompanied by an adult. Guided tours are available with advanced notice for no extra charge.
PITTSBURGHCarnegie Museum of Art, 4400 Forbes Ave., presents Chinese artist Ai Weiwei’s Circle of Animals/Zodiac Heads, made up of 12 figures of the traditional Chinese zodiac, each cast in bronze standing more than 10 feet tall and weighing around 2,000 pounds, from May 28 to Aug. 29. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays through Saturdays with extended hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. Sundays; closed Tuesdays and major holidays. Museum admission is $19.95 for adults, $14.95 for senior citizens age 65 and older, $11.95 for students with ID and children ages 3 to 18, and free for children younger than 3, and includes the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
