Joyce Connor

Joyce A. Connor, 75, of Chicora passed away Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Oct. 17, 1940, in Greece City, she was a daughter of the late Merle and Helen (Weiland) Ball.

She was a member of St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Butler.

She had worked as a caretaker for the Shady Oaks Personal Care Home in Gibsonia. She was employed there for 15 years. Previously, she had worked 15 years for Murphy Mart/Ames at the front desk.

She also had her beautician license and did cake baking and decorating.

She was a collector of many things. She was an avid yard sales shopper and enjoyed playing cards. She especially loved being surrounded by her family and her grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons, Shawn (Maureen) Connor of McKees Rocks and Shane F. (Jennifer) Connor of Greece City; her daughter, Julie (Raymond) Bruschi of Butler; four grandchildren, Ireland, Rebekah, Hannah and Joseph; her brother, Joel (Kathy) Ball of Chicora; four sisters, Phyllis (Donald) Everly of Chicora, Merril Hilderbrand of Fenelton, Linda Slater of Chicora and Melanie Rieger and her husband, Dale Owens of West Sunbury and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney L. Connor, who passed away Dec. 15, 1982, and three brothers, John, Bob and Louis Ball.

CONNOR — Friends of Joyce A. Connor, who died Friday, April 8, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road.
