Florence Henry

Florence “Peanuts” Henry, 92, of Butler passed away Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 23, 1923, in Westline, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Ruffo) Frisina.

In 1945, in Bradford, Pa., she married Paul D. Gorton, who passed away in 1972. In 1978, she moved to Butler, where she married Frank D. Henry, who passed away in 1992.

Florence had attended both St. John's Reformed Church and St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. She was a member of 55 Alive and MARC.

She is survived by her daughter, Judith (David) Hoover; her son, Paul (Pamela) Gorton; four grandsons; four great-granddaughters; her brothers, D. Robert and Carl (Wendy) Frisina; her stepchildren, Vance (Bonnie) Henry, Kathy Spencer, Brian (Kathleen Domenig) Henry and Keith (Leigh) Henry; four step-grandchildren, and three step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are numerous loving nieces and nephews, very caring neighbors and special caregivers, Lisa and Jim Melton and Nancy Chuba.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jan Gray; her son, Joseph Gorton; three brothers and one sister.

HENRY — There will be no visitation for Florence “Peanuts” Henry, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2016.
