Dale “Fred” Tomb Jr., 64, of Portersville passed away unexpectedly Thursday at his home.

Born Dec. 20, 1951, in Indiana, Pa., Fred was the son of the late Dale F. and Sara Miller Tomb.

He is survived by his wife, the former Linda J. Pistorius, who he married Nov. 21, 1998.

Fred worked as a salesman for LKQ Auto Parts in New Kensington. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Besides his wife, Fred is survived by three daughters, Rebeka Tomb of New Castle and Megan Alexander and Mollie Alexander, both of Atlanta, Ga.; his stepson, Michael (Laura) Vincent of Pittsburgh; and two grandchildren, Taylor and Bently Tomb.

Besides his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his son, Dale F. Tomb III, and his sister, Cyndee Mackal.
