Anthony M. “Tony” Valenza

Anthony M. “Tony” Valenza, 64, of Marion Township passed away Wednesday evening in Allegheny General Hospital.

Tony was born June 17, 1951, in Pittsburgh to Orland and Dolores Chesosky Valenza. He married Debra A. Makris Oct. 12, 1991.

He was a self-employed electrician, owning and operating Valenza Electric of Harrisville for 35 years.

Tony was a graduate of Shaler High School in the Class of 1969. He was raised Catholic, and he served in the Vietnam War with the U.S. Air Force. Tony was a member of American Legion Post 852 in Harrisville, and he enjoyed working on woodworking projects.

Survivors include his wife, Debra, at home; three children, Carla M. O'Brien and her husband, Chad, of Pittsburgh, Tony J. Valenza and his wife, Dena, of Allison Park and Stephen N. Valenza and his wife, Tara, of Allison Park; 11 grandchildren; and three brothers, Nick Valenza of Gibsonia and Tom and Rich Valenza, both of Shaler.

His parents preceded him in death.

VALENZA — Visitation hours for Anthony M. “Tony” Valenza, who died Wednesday, April 6, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from noon until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.Funeral service will be officiated by the Rev. Michael Allison of the Church of the Beloved Disciple. Military honors will follow at the service.Memorials in Tony's memory may be made to WoundedWarriorProject.org.
