BUTLER TWP — The Nixon Preschool's fourth annual 5K “Fun-draiser” takes place at 9 a.m. May 14 at the Nixon United Methodist Church at 334 Airport Road.

This is a family-friendly event where participants are welcome to run or walk. It is not a timed event. The Pirate Parrot will be on hand.

Proceeds will be used for materials, continuing education for the teachers and supplies.

Summer hoop campsERIE — Penn State Behrend summer basketball camps will take place this summer.Day camps for boys entering grades 2-10 cost $150 and run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Week 1 is June 20-24, Week 2 July 25-29.Little Dribblers is for boys and girls ages 4-8 and costs $55.
