John E. Kerschbaumer

John E. Kerschbaumer, 60, of Bradys Bend died Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 2, 1956, he was the son of John W. and Eleanor M. “Peg” (McCollough) Kerschbaumer.

A 1974 graduate of East Brady High School, John first worked at the RexHide in East Brady and later Witco for 12 years. For years earlier, John trimmed trees for Dewey and brought boats in and out of storage at Michigan Limestone.

On Aug. 17, 1987, John married Virginia “Ginny” Lutz; she survives.

A member of the Bradys Bend American Legion Post 488, John served as the adjutant, handling memberships for the club. In his earlier years, he played baseball and softball, was an exceptional bowler, once having a 300 game, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and other sports. John took the most pride in his daughters and enjoyed watching their sporting events through the years.

He is survived by his wife, Ginny Kerschbaumer of Bradys Bend; two daughters, Alicia Bly and her husband, Mark, of Kittanning Hollow and Kara Kerschbaumer (Kyle Barger) of Bradys Bend; his mother, Peg Kerschbaumer of Cove Run; one sister, Debbie Henry and her husband, Terry, of East Brady; and one brother, David Kerschbaumer and his wife, Robyn, of Chicora.

John is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

John's family would especially like to thank his golf buddies from Hiland Golf Course for making his last day so enjoyable. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

KERSCHBAUMER — Friends of John E. Kerschbaumer, who died Wednesday, March 30, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Buechele Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul DeBacco officiating.
