Clarinda J. “Lindy” Schoentag, 82, of Butler passed away Monday at Elmcroft of Saxonburg.

Born Dec. 10, 1933, in Jefferson Township, she was the daughter of William F. Byers and Elsie Drescher Byers.

She was retired from Du-Co Ceramics, where she had been a press operator.

She enjoyed gardening and outdoor activities.

Surviving are her son, Ronald E. (Connie) Schoentag of Saxonburg; two daughters, Paula Schoentag of Butler and Denise (Rich) Daubner of Saxonburg; her brother, Louie (Mary) Byers of Saxonburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert E. Schoentag, who died Dec. 4, 1994; four brothers; and one sister.
