Richard “Dick” Edward Dangrow
Richard “Dick” Edward Dangrow, 77, of Villa Drive, Butler, passed away at 5:20 a.m. Monday morning at his home.
Richard was born Dec. 10, 1938, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Charles O. and Elizabeth M. (McMaster) Dangrow, II.
Richard attended the former Stoneboro School and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1958. He completed statistical process control at Butler County Community College. He previously worked for Ervin Industries, now known as Barnsteel Abrasives, Butler, where he was in charge of shipping and receiving. He also was a certified weigh master for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was a member of St. Fidelis Parish, Meridian.
For over 25 years Richard enjoyed designing, building and maintaining modified race cars that were active on the local circuit.
He is survived by one sister, Elizabeth M. Dangrow of Butler; 11 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William McMaster Dangrow and Charles O. Dangrow III; and his niece, Elizabeth M. Dangrow Lesnett.
DANGROW — Friends and family of Richard “Dick” Edward Dangrow, who died Monday, March 28, 2016, may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 169 Second St., Fredonia.Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James J. Kennelley, pastor, of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Mercer, Pa.
