Mary Ellen Jeffreys

Mary Ellen Jeffreys, 74, of Butler died Sunday morning at the Greentree Manor Care in Pittsburgh.

Born Aug. 14, 1941, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Maurice Jeffreys and Mary Grace (Cannon) Jeffreys.

Mary Ellen had been the pastoral associate at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman and previously she worked as a visiting nurse for St. Francis Hospital in New Castle.

Surviving are her brothers and sisters, Janet Warren of Cumberland, Md., Thomas (Noreen) Jeffreys of Ogden, Utah, Daniel (Andrea) Jeffreys of Pittsburgh and Rebecca Heinzl of Pittsburgh.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert; and her two sisters, Ann and Maurine.

JEFFREYS — Friends of Mary Ellen Jeffreys, who died Sunday, March 27, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.
