Elmer E. McKinney
Elmer E. McKinney, 79, of Portersville died Friday at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Sept. 30, 1936, in Franklin Park, and was the son of Bertus B. and Dorothy Herrscher McKinney.
Elmer had been self-employed in the refuse business.
He was a member of the Franklin Park Baptist Church in Franklin Park. He had been a member of the Western PA Pony Pulling Association.
Survivors include his wife, Arlene Riley McKinney, who he married Feb. 28, 1959; his mother of Zelienople, formerly of Franklin Park; his son, Bradley (Ginger) McKinney of Portersville; his daughter, Beth (Tom) Brest of Ellwood City; his nephew, who he raised, Keith English of Prospect; four grandchildren, Ryan (Laurel) Brest, Aaron Brest and Hannah and Isabella McKinney; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his father; his son, Bryan; and his sister, Doris English.
MCKINNEY — Visitation for Elmer E. McKinney, who died Friday, March 25, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Mountville Presbyterian Church in Portersville with the Rev. Tom Hurry officiating. Burial will be in the Franklin Park Church Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
