Barbara (Bobbi) Spitzkopf

Barbara (Bobbi) Spitzkopf passed away onto heaven at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Sebastian River Medical Center from complications from pneumonia. Her family was by her side.

Born May 10, 1955, in Hollywood, Fla., she was a 1973 graduate of Moniteau High School and received her Bachelor of Science from Florida Atlantic University.

She is survived by her, husband of 37 years, Lee Spitzkopf of Grant, Fla.; her sisters, Esther Jo Voelker, Susan Isacco, Pamela Henry and Linda Kissner; her brother, John Patterson; her uncle and aunt, Kenny and Gloria McAnallen; her goddaughter, Danielle Patterson; her godson, Shawn Meadows; her nieces, nephews; her sister-in-law and brothers-in-law; her cousins; and one million and one friends.

In 2005, Bobbi retired with 30 years of service at Florida Department of Transportation.

She volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels, her church and her community and loved life to its fullest, Carpe Diem. Some of her favorite things were being loud in so many ways, the beach, the Sebastian River, Shamrocks, lady bugs, hummingbirds and Lily-of-the-valley flowers.

SPITZKOPF — Memorial services for Barbara Spitzkopf, who died Wednesday, March 16, 2016, will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 U.S. Highway 1, Sebastian, Fla.There will be a memorial service will be at 1 a.m. May 1 at the Rider Lutheran Church, 189 Rider Church Road, West Sunbury.In lieu of flowers, she would love that you donated to The Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh at http://givetochildrens.org/index.php.
