Robert Lee “Pappy” Davis, 74, of Howard, Ga., formerly of Butler, passed away Saturday at the Upson Regional Medical Center, Thomaston, Ga.

Robert was the son of the late Wilson and Margaret Crispin Davis. He was a Baptist, and he was a former member of the East Butler Fire Hall.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jackie Davis, Billy Davis, Wilson Davis, Hank Davis and Roy Davis; his sister, Doris Wise; and his daughter, Tammy Lorraine Davis.

Survivors include his wife, Josephine Davis of Howard, Ga.; two sons, Dan Davis (Kim) of Howard, Ga., and Robert Lee Davis Jr. of Howard, Ga.; one brother, Paul Davis of Butler; one sister, Margie Eppinger of Butler; five grandchildren, Daniel Davis (Starlit) of Butler, Ga., Christina Cosey (Josh) of Reynolds Ga., Amanda Queen (T.J.) of Mauk, Ga., Rocky Davis (Katie) of Tazewell, Ga., and Luke Davis (Lindsey Wilder) of Butler, Ga.; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
