Peggy Lou Lassinger

Peggy Lou Lassinger, 75, of Jupiter, Fla., and Butler passed away Wednesday at ACMH Hospital, following an illness.

Born Sept. 29, 1940, in Sarver, she was the daughter of Ernest Freehling and Bernice Young Freehling.

Peggy was a homemaker. She was a member of Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church, where she was a deacon and helped with vacation Bible School. She also was a member of Butler Country Club. She enjoyed crocheting, embroidering, quilting and using her computer. She was an avid reader and game player.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond Lassinger, who she married Feb. 15, 1958; her son, Terry (Susan) Lassinger of Willis, Texas, his children, Katie (Geno) Lattus, Chad Lassinger and Brittney Lassinger, and his grandchildren, Vera and Gene Lattus III; her son, Jeffrey Lassinger of Saxonburg, his sons, Jay (Leah) Lassinger, Colton Lassinger, Jordan (Kristen) Lassinger and Jacob Lassinger and his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jaxon and Knox Lassinger; her daughter, Kimberly “Suze” (Joe) Boros of Saxonburg and her sons Joe and Jack Boros; her daughter, Patti-Ann (Brian) Kanterman of Butler and her daughters, Jenna and Peggy Kanterman; her son, Ray (Jodi) Lassinger of Butler and his children, Gabi, Tori and Cole Lassinger; her daughter, Renee (Dave Hormuth) Lassinger of Indianapolis, Ind., and her son Drew Howser; her brothers, Richard (Bea) Freehling of Butler and Les (Kay) Freehling of Renfrew; her sister, Donna Christy of Saxonburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

LASSINGER — Friends of Peggy Lou Lassinger, who died Wednesday, March 9, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church with the Rev Jonathan West officiating. Interment will follow at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made to Jefferson Center Presbyterian Church.
