Phyllis M. (Clough) Breck

Phyllis M. (Clough) Breck, 86, of Middlesex Township passed away Saturday at UPMC Passavant Hospital, North Hills, following a brief illness.

She was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Harrison Township, daughter of the late Leonard and Alma Ruth (Hickey) Clough. Phyllis has lived in Middlesex Township since 1978 and before that she lived in Fawn Township.

She was a homemaker and member of the West Deer Bible Church. Phyllis volunteered at the Lighthouse Food Bank in Butler, taught Sunday school, was very active in her church and was a 1949 graduate of Har Brack High School.

Phyllis enjoyed sewing, quilting and baking. She especially enjoyed her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Howard Neville Breck; her children, Joni K. Hughes of Natrona Heights, Paul N. Breck of Jacksonville, Fla., Nancy J. (David M.) Smith of Fawn Township and Becky J. (James) Kennedy of Zelienople; eight grandsons; and four great grandchildren. Also surviving is her twin sister, Ruth A. Donnell, Buffalo Township.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Amy Jo Breck; her son, Thomas L. Breck in 2015; her son-in-law, C. “Dutch” Hughes in 2015; and two sisters, Dora Michael and Lois Mason.

BRECK — Visitation for Phyllis M. Breck, who died Saturday, March 5, 2016, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Duster Funeral Home, 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum.Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the West Deer Bible Church, 4341 Bakerstown Culmerville Road, Gibsonia, with the Rev.
