Agnes H. Franz
Agnes H. Franz, 84, of Slippery Rock passed away peacefully Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Always a fighter, she faced several medical issues over the past few years and battled them all.
She was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Carnegie, Pa., to Martin A. and Olivia M. (Gaughan) Healey. She was the eighth of 11 children.
She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church in Slippery Rock. She was a longtime civil service supervisor for the PA Unemployment Office in Butler.
Agnes is survived by her husband of 55 years, Henry. She was also the loving and proud mother of her four children, Mark Franz of Stephens City, Va., Kathy Allen (Jeffrey) of Linden, Va., Maureen Seymour of Slippery Rock and Olivia Franz of Butler. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Alexandra Franz, Shawn Walsh, Nolan Walsh, Bruce Franz and Jack Franz.
She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
FRANZ — A viewing for Agnes H. Franz, who died Saturday, March 5, 2016, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Her life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at a funeral Mass at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St. She will be interred at the Holy Souls Cemetery in Carnegie, Pa., following the funeral.
