ERIE — Butler graduate and Penn State Behrend junior Paige Allen has been named Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Allen won the 400 and 200 meter events at the Carnegie Mellon Quad Meet Saturday. She also ran a leg of the third-place finishing 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.

SRHS set to christen new track

The Slippery Rock High School boys and girls track program will hold its first meet at the high school since 1977 Tuesday at 4 p.m. against Sharon.

The Slippery Rock athletic administration is inviting alumni to attend the meet to christen the new track, completed along with the football stadium renovation last year.

The track wasn't completed in time to run at the high school last spring.

The Rockets had run their home meets at nearby Slippery Rock University.
