Sara J. Somerville, 86, of East Butler passed away Tuesday at UPMC Passavant.

Born in Pitcairn on Aug. 31, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Foster Earl and Olive Susana Jones Spaugy.

She was a homemaker and a member of the East Butler Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Earl D. Stutz of Dover, Pa., and Terry R. Stutz of Butler; five daughters, Georgia A. Canada and her husband, Michael, of Altus, Okla., Linda S. Busch and her husband, Ryan, of Wichita, Kan., Mary Beth Somerville of Saxonburg, Loretta A. Christley and her husband, Scott, of Butler and Donna R. “D” Pithers and her husband, John, of Butler; one stepdaughter, Carletta M. Weichey of Butler; and five stepsons, Raymond A. Somerville Jr. and his wife, Melissa, of Cabot, Gary Paul Somerville of New Bethlehem, Jim F. Somerville of Herman, Keith E. Somerville and his wife, Delores, of North East and David L. Somerville of Rimersburg.

Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. Somerville Sr., who passed away March 10, 2015; three brothers; one sister; and one granddaughter.

SOMERVILLE — There will be no visitation for Sara J. Somerville, who died Tuesday, March 1, 2016. A memorial service will be held later.The family requests memorial donations be made to the East Butler Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 569, East Butler, PA 16029 or to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N.
