Symphony concludes season

Nathaniel Chen, the Butler County Symphony Orchestra's 2016 Young Artist Competition winner, will perform with the orchestra at its April 9 concert.

The Butler County Symphony will close its 2015-16 season with Beethoven Symphony No. 9 “Choral” at 7:30 p.m. April 9 at the Butler Intermediate High School auditorium.

Maestro Matthew Kraemer will be conducting the concert that will feature the last symphony that Beethoven wrote.

The Young Artist Competition winner, Nathaniel Chen, will perform Ravel's “Piano Concerto in G” with orchestra. Nathaniel is a senior at North Allegheny High School.

The Slippery Rock University Concert Choir will join soloists Shannon Kessler Dooley, Katherine Drago, Robert Frankenberry and Timothy Lefebvre in singing one of the most played symphonies in the world.

Tickets are available at the symphony office, 259 S. Main St., or at showclix.com. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students, plus a handling fee. Any available tickets will be sold at the door.
