For forty-two years you shared my life

A love that stood true was ours

Hand in hand we walked life’s road

Through sunshine and through showers,

We shared a joy I never knew

So much I now hold dear,

And taught me how to live each day

Without a thought of fear.

You made my life beautiful

And banished all tears and strife,

Oh how thankful I am

For the day you walked into my life.
