Evan Hawken Boy
Evan Hawken Boy, 23, of New Castle passed away Thursday at Jamison Hospital.
He was born April 4, 1992, in Butler, the son of Thomas Evan Boy of New Castle and Wendy (Myers) Scanlon of Slippery Rock.
Evan graduated from Butler High School in 2010 and was attending Butler County Community College. He worked at Nino's II Tomato in New Castle. Evan loved playing, making and producing music. He also promoted local hip hop artist events in New Castle.
Surviving along with his parents are his stepfather, Robert Scanlon of Slippery Rock; two brothers, Mason Boy and Alden Mikula, both of Butler; two stepbrothers, Rob and Joe Scanlon, both of Butler; maternal grandparents, Ada and Gene Myers of Cocoa Beach, Fla.; his paternal grandmother, Mary Shapiro of Ellwood City; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Dan Boy; his stepgrandfather, Dr. Lawrence Shapiro; and one uncle, Gene “Buddy” Myers.
