14-year-old accused of killing boy, 13MOUNT PLEASANT — A 14-year-old boy has been charged with killing a 13-year-old boy at a home.The Westmoreland County coroner and Mount Pleasant police aren’t releasing the victim’s name. But online court records show they’ve charged John Burnsworth, 14, with criminal homicide and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.

Fire in barn leaves 7 horses deadSOUTH PARK — Authorities say a fire in a barn has left several animals dead, including seven horses.The blaze broke out in South Park around 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Police say officers were able to free two horses but seven others, along with two goats, a pig and several chickens and ducks were killed.
