Man charged in child porn case
ADAMS TWP — A township man is accused of having an inappropriate relationship over the Internet with a teenage girl from Canada and of downloading child pornography.
James Fugh, 39, of Adams Township was arrested Wednesday and placed in the Butler County Prison on $100,000 bail.
He faces 80 felony charges, including 10 counts of sexual abuse of children, photographing, videotaping, depicting on computer or filming sexual acts; 10 counts of unlawful contact with a minor; 50 counts of child pornography; and 10 counts of criminal use of a communication facility.
Fugh was investigated by the Northwest Computer Crime Task Force of the state police starting Feb. 23 when they were contacted by Adams Township police to investigate a report of a man having an online relationship with a 16-year-old girl, according to court records.
Fugh allegedly had a relationship with a girl from Canada from May 2014 to July 2015. She was 15 years old during the relationship.
They allegedly started chatting on blahtherapy.com and used multiple other websites and social media platforms to video chat and exchange nude images.
The girl cut off contact after her parents discovered the relationship.
Ottawa police interviewed the victim on March 3, and she confirmed the details of the relationship.
While examining Fugh’s computer, police also allegedly discovered hundreds of sexually explicit videos showing girls between the ages of 8 and 12 years old.
When confronted by police, Fugh allegedly admitted to the relationship and turned over a flash drive and his computer.
He does not have any previous criminal conviction in Pennsylvania. His preliminary hearing is Tuesday.
