Robert R. Philips
Robert R. Philips, 75, of Butler passed away Friday at his home.
He was born May 2, 1940, in Butler to the late Robert H. Philips and Bessie L. (Barto) Philips.
Robert worked at Armco Steel in the wheel works as an inspector, retiring after more than 40 years of service.
He enjoyed flea markets, garage sales, planting flowers and his computer. Robert was a Presbyterian.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary A. Philips, who he married July 31, 1961; one son, Vance Philips and his wife, Betty, of Butler; three daughters, Daphne Philips of Sheffield, Pa., Candance Philips of Butler and Michelle Rockwell of Butler; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Randy Philips and his wife, Linda, of Chicora; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Christy and Judy Philips.
PHILIPS — Friends of Robert R. Philips, who died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
