SRU lacrosse nets opening winDAVENPORT, Fla. —Slippery Rock University received goals from 12 different players in opening its women's lacrosse season with a 23-10 win over Shorter (Ga.) University Sunday.Kaytlin Callaghan and Erin Wilcox scored four goals each for SRU. Jordan Chan added three goals with Bre Vodde, Erin Brown and Jasey Sanders all netting two tallies.Danni Wilson had a goal and two assists. Eagles deal Murray to AFC’s TitansNASHVILLE, Tenn. — DeMarco Murray will be leaving Philadelphia after only one season for Tennessee in a trade the Titans hope gives them the running threat they’ve lacked since releasing Chris Johnson, while the Eagles rid themselves of one of the contracts signed by former coach Chip Kelly.Murray’s agents at SportsTrust Advisors confirmed the deal on Twitter.Murray signed a five-year, $40 million contract with $21 million guaranteed with Philadelphia last year, and a person familiar with the trade told The Associated Press that Murray agreed to rework his deal. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal will not be announced until Wednesday.

Manfred holding off on Reyes’ disciplineSCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred won’t decide on discipline for Jose Reyes until after the domestic violence case involving the Colorado shortstop plays out in court.Manfred placed Reyes on paid suspension ahead of spring training under the domestic violence agreement reached last August. Last week.Reyes is scheduled for a trial April 4 on a charge he abused his wife at a Hawaii resort Oct. 31. Reyes has pleaded not guilty.
